May was the month real teams moved in. Jira projects stay in sync continuously, time is logged and approved in Crew, and planning meetings got their own module. At the end of the month the client portal grew from a view into a place where clients work on their tasks.
What shipped
- v5.3.0: a Planning module for cross-project planning meetings with iterations.
- v5.5.0: continuous Jira sync. A webhook per project brings changes in near real time, a 15-minute job catches what the webhook misses.
- v5.17.0: commits, branches and pull requests from Bitbucket or GitHub appear on every task.
- v5.18.0: five roles (super-admin, team admin, employee, subcontractor, client) decide who sees what.
- v5.23.0: Cmd+K opens a search across tasks, projects and clients.
- v5.50.0 to v5.54.0 (AVFORGE-30): time sheets with a project grid and a calendar, team views, month locking and an approval flow. v5.62.0 syncs worklogs with Tempo in both directions.
- v5.68.0 (AVFORGE-49): checklists on tasks; v5.71.0: embeddable public forms whose answers land in Crew.
- v5.75.0 to v5.92.0: in the client portal clients can switch between board and list, open full task pages, and work with subtasks, linked tasks and checklists.

Jira sync, API and MCP
Jira projects can be imported once or kept in two-way sync, so a team can move over step by step. A documented v1 API and an MCP server let tools and Claude work with Crew.
Crew as a Jira alternativeTime tracking and timesheets
Log time on any task, see it per project or in a calendar, and lock and approve months. Hours sync with Jira and Tempo, and reports come out as PDF.
